Terms of Use

1. What Tono provides

Tono is a communication assistance tool. It rewrites or improves message wording based on your input, selected tone, situation, action, and preferred length.

Tono does not guarantee that generated text will be complete, accurate, appropriate, original, or suitable for every situation.

2. Review before sending

You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving every generated message before sending, posting, publishing, or relying on it. Tono does not replace your judgment, and you remain responsible for how you use the output.

3. No professional advice

Tono does not provide legal, medical, financial, employment, tax, business, human-resources, or other professional advice. AI-generated text may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or inappropriate for sensitive situations. For important decisions, consult a qualified professional and review the separate AI Disclaimer.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use Tono for illegal, abusive, harmful, deceptive, exploitative, or malicious activities, including creating, improving, or distributing:

• threats, harassment, or abusive messages
• scams, fraud, phishing, spam, or impersonation
• discriminatory or hateful content
• content that violates another person's rights
• instructions for wrongdoing or harmful activity
• messages intended to manipulate, deceive, or exploit others

5. Security rules

You must not interfere with, abuse, overload, scrape, attack, or misuse Tono or its related systems. You must not attempt to bypass rate limits, bot verification, security controls, access controls, or abuse-prevention systems. These restrictions apply except where applicable law expressly permits an activity.

6. Service limits and availability

Tono may limit, throttle, block, or restrict usage to maintain reliability, prevent abuse, control operating costs, and provide fair access. The service, models, features, and limits may be changed, suspended, interrupted, or discontinued without prior notice.

Tono does not guarantee that the service will always be available, error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

7. User content

You retain any rights you may have in content you submit. Tono does not claim ownership of your original message. By using the service, you give Tono the limited permission needed to process your input and generate output for you.

You are responsible for having the right to submit that content and for ensuring your use does not violate applicable laws or another person's rights.

8. Generated output

You may use generated output subject to these Terms and your own responsibility. Tono does not guarantee that output is unique, non-infringing, accurate, or appropriate for your situation. Similar output may be provided to other users.

9. Privacy

Use of Tono is also governed by the Privacy Policy. Do not submit passwords, private credentials, confidential records, or highly sensitive personal information.

10. Third-party services

Tono relies on third-party providers for AI processing, hosting, security, rate limiting, caching, and infrastructure. Those providers may have their own terms, privacy practices, availability limits, and infrastructure policies.

11. Tono ownership

The Tono source code, design, interface, branding, copy, logo, documentation, and related assets are owned by ByAnt or their respective rights holders and are protected by copyright and other applicable laws. No ownership or source-code license is transferred by use of the hosted service.

Reuse, redistribution, resale, copying, modification, sublicensing, creation of derivative works, or commercialization of the Tono codebase, branding, design, or assets without prior written permission is not allowed, except where applicable law expressly permits it.

12. Support and voluntary payments

Tono may include support, donation, or contribution links. Contributions are voluntary and do not guarantee special access, uninterrupted service, custom features, refunds, priority support, or any specific service level unless separately agreed in writing.

13. Disclaimer

Tono is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and other express or implied warranties are disclaimed.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ByAnt and Tono are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, reputation, opportunities, profits, or business arising from use of or inability to use Tono. You use Tono at your own risk.

15. Changes to these terms

These Terms may be updated as Tono changes or adds features. The latest version and revision date will be posted on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
